We hope you had a wonderful long weekend. We are back at it! Read on to see what we are learning in our classes. In math, kindergarten is learning about patterning. First graders are learning about solids, plane shapes, and fractions. Second graders are learning about place value. In language arts, the class began writing what they would do if they were president of Kittredge. As a follow up to our discussion | of student body politics, we discussed the issues that are important to our class for the U.S. presidential race. The environment, women's rights, and racial equality, were topics that the students held important. Some even listened for these topics to be brought up in last week's vice presidential debate. We talked about the electoral college and what it means to be elected as president or vice president of the United states. | In science, the class is learning about plants, their parts and the job each plant part does. They are learning about angiosperms and gymnosperms.
