Welcome back. We had a fun-filled Friday before the break. We celebrated the 100th day of school with 100 jumps, 100 piece cereal necklaces, and 100th day collections. We exchanged valentines and in celebration of this lovely holiday we wrote poems inspired by Shel Silverstein's "My Rules." Students had a chance to make lunar new year art and some students opted to post their year | of the ox art in our window. This week the class wrote about what love is. In case you were wondering, going outside with parents, making pancakes for breakfast, hugs, kisses, and snuggles rank high on the list of our class's definition of love. The thought of life on Mars is exciting us this week, but parents continue to be the center of these kids' universe. Thank you for doing that thing | you do. Coming up: Friday 2/26/21: Spirit Day-dress up as your favorite game. Represent your favorite board or video game as you dress up this Friday. Get creative with construction paper circles for twister, don a cap and mustache as Super Mario, or grab a pair of tongs and draw your favorite pieces from the game Operation. We can't wait to see you shine on Friday! |
