Thank you! Kittredge teachers are so very lucky to have the support of our school families. Thank you for the appreciation you have expressed this week. We definitely feel the love. It feels wonderful to be appreciated. Thank you for all that you do to make this a rewarding place to be. In writing this week, our class is working on expanding their writing. We are practicing using indentations for the start of paragraphs and second graders are extending their writing with details of who is in the story and | what is happening in the beginning, middle, and end of the story. First and second graders are editing their writing when it is complete. In math, kindergarten is learning how to tell time on analog and digital clocks. First grade is reviewing how to add with multiple addends. Second graders are reviewing coins, their worth and how to exchange them. In science, the class is transitioning from learning about the stages of matter (with an oobleck experiment in this week's pictures) to learning | about different kinds of energy. In social studies, the class is learning about Navajo life in the desert. We read a Navajo poem about the desert and illustrated the imagery that we found in the poem. We are looking forward to a talent show screening on May 27th. With a request from some students, we have extended the talent show video deadline until tomorrow. If your child wanted to submit a video and missed the deadline, there is still one more day to share a special talent with us. |
Big help, comes in small packages!--Sierra
