Thank you families and KPA. We've been traveling a long and winding road this year. With many twists and turns along the way, we are so glad that we have had you by our side to help bring us to where we are today. Thank you for the surprise appreciation this week, which is just the encouragement we need to keep our tanks full. We are headed to the final trimester of this year and are so glad for your support along the way. Thank you! In math, kindergarten is practicing subtraction equations. | First grade is adding counting on by tens and practicing double digit addition. Second grade is learning the basics of division. In language arts, kindergarten is spelling short "o" words. First grade is learning about declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and command sentences. Second grade is learning about possessive nouns. In science, the class is learning about the 3 states of matter. (See below). In social studies, the class is writing about phenomenal historical women. | Each student is introducing their chosen figure, using a topic sentence to describe their heroine and implementing supporting details to further their point. Our Habit of Mind this month is taking responsible risks. Kids drew self-portraits without looking. See them try something new, in this week's photos!
