I hope you had a nice week with family last week. I was happy to see so many smiles upon our return. In writing this week, the class wrote about that they did over their break. Students were guided to use a topic sentence for their paragraph and support it with 1, 2, or 3 details sentences depending on grade level. In math, kindergarten is | learning about calendars, months, and seasons. First grade is learning about double-digit addition and place value. Second grade is learning about solid figures and plane shapes. In social studies, the class reviewed landscapes of forests, prairies, and the animals that live there. In science, the class is learning about how animals and | plants grow on a farm. A tradition we have in our class is making Holiday Graham Houses. If you would like to join us over zoom for some holiday house making, we will plan to build houses on December 18th. We usually use graham crackers, powdered sugar, and assorted edible decorations. You are welcome to join us for this activity with these supplies, or others that you may find suitable. This activity is optional. |
